Coffee Morning
Ask your neighbours and friends round for coffee and cakes and charge a small fee. You could combine this with a raffle or book sale etc.
Dinner Party
Invite your friends round for an evening of delicious food and wine – they will be happy to eat your food and make a donation to a good cause at the same time. To make this even more fun, you could make it a themed evening or have a murder mystery party.
Give it up
Sponsor members of the family to give up their worst habits for a week. Each time they forget they have to pay a fine.
Have a ‘Pound for Paws’ Day
Simply ask all your colleagues to bring a pound to work in aid of the charity, then collect together the money and send it to us.
Friday is always a good day to hold a dress down day. Advertise ahead of time so that your colleagues know to dress down and bring their donation with them.
Non-Uniform Day
Ask your local school if they would hold a non uniform day to raise funds for Medical Detection Dogs. Nominate an amount for each child to pay, perhaps 50p or £1.00, for the privilege of not wearing uniform and then donate the money to the charity.
Cake Sale
Ask your local school if they would hold a cake sale. Ask the children to donate cakes and then sell them to raise money for Medical Detection Dogs.
Sponsored walk
Do you know a lovely location?
Do you have friends, family or a community that would enjoy the challenge of a walk to raise funds?
Then why not organise your own sponsored walk for Medical Detection Dogs.
Dog walk
For those people with canine friends, why not organise your own or group sponsored dog walk. Either decide to collect sponsorship per mile or charge an entry fee? You could also combine the walk with a treasure hunt along the way?
